Review of The Girl on the Train (2016) by Javonte C — 14 Oct 2016

I never got around the reading the book The Girl on the Train, but I'm sure it would have kept me more engaged than this film did. I left the theater feeling, if I'm honest, a bit underwhelmed.

While there were twist and turns, and this overhanging theme of 'something just doesn't add up' I couldn't help but wonder "where's the action?!", and "why does it feel like this is dragging"? The movie's pace was just too slow! The movie as a whole was good, and I didn't see the ending coming, which is good.

I just wish there was more. However, if you're looking for a murder/mystery/thriller this wouldn't be a bad one to go see.
