I really enjoyed this film and don't understand why its RT rating is this low. I had not read the book and found that the plot unfolded at an appropriate pace, nicely setting me up for each twist that lay ahead.
It reminded me in some ways of George Cukor's 1944 version of Gaslight. Don't miss this one.
