Review of The Girl on the Bridge (1999) by Lee B — 25 Dec 2007
I think the moral is, in order to be lucky (or delude yourself that you are) you have to stare your mortality in the face. If you see your self as that girl standing on the bridge, you need to see this movie.
You don't necessarily need to be suicidal, but many of us entertain self-pity when things are not going our way. Life will always provide lucky moments, and in order to cash them in, we need to let go of fear and trust that the blind knife thrower will be lucky as well.
(He scratched her and put a band-aid on--whew!!).
