Review of The Girl and Death (2012) by Debra P — 25 Jan 2015
I loved this movie! Deeply moving story about the passion of youth, the lasting connection between destiny and earthly time. I put this third in my favorite movies this year: The Grand Budipest Hotel, Birdman and The Girl and Death.
If this had a Julia Roberts American star, this movie would be getting a lot more attention. That said, timelessness is poetic only in the hearts of lovers. Aliens, zombies, robots and horror geeks won't find a moment to grab here--athough it is a story locked in the ghosts of a lost path, which still has earthly intrigue to those who know its truths.
The actors in this piece are all perfection.
