Review of The Gift (2015) by Edmund P — 09 Nov 2015
Wow, what a debut. I loved the performances (particularly Edgerton and Hall), the slow-burn pace allowed for a lot of tension, and thematically, it might be one of the darkest anti-bullying PSAs I've ever seen.
It's not perfect but any problems I have are relatively minor and I give the film a lot of credit for being thought-provoking and making me question which characters I should be rooting against. All in all, pretty awesome.
