Review of The Gift (2015) by Riley F — 29 Oct 2015

Nearly unrelenting in it's subtleties and the uneasy nerves are bountiful. It's a welcome debut from first time chill artist Joel Edgerton, who manages to create depth in his screen presence and off-screen. Then you'll see a new Bateman who somehow tops his take in "Bad Words" and finds his inner @$*hole, a little too convincing at times, yikes. There's plenty steady cam shots of a beautiful suburbin home, those who grow weary of the constant lens humping of most modern thrillers shall rejoice.

And if you're gifted enough to feel bored, turn the movie off, because you don't deserve it.
