Review of The Gift (2000) by Lahiru D — 25 Nov 2007
Supernatural drama that is immensely watchable despite a fairly humdrum story and characters. Director Sam Raimi takes a restrained, dour and atmospheric approach that dwells on the characters but also throws in a few good scare scenes along the way.
A very impressive cast delivers in spades, especially Blanchett who is phenomenal.
