Review of The Gift (2000) by Marcus W — 31 Aug 2009
The cast in this are outstanding especially Ribisi and Jeter, and I loved how it explored ESP in a court of law. There's some deft touches, but the script seemed to be holding Raimi back as the horror/jumps are way too obvious - it's as though he's trying to be serious and keep the tone straight while deep down he wants to push it.
It's a good enough whodunnit and I'm glad I've seen it, but I don't feel any inclination to ever watch it again.
