I found it delightfully silly and fun. Many aspects of it, though made it hard to enjoy. However, I understand that it was made in 1959. Cheesy acting, poor story, and quite boring. Not like movies these days where the entire movie can be 90 minutes of endless destruction.
But the scenes that did have the gila monster were highly entertaining (though I'd hoped for more) and the ending was worth it all.
