Review of The Ghost Writer (2010) by Manofthemoon — 31 Mar 2014
Criminally ignored on its release, this is Polanski's best film since The Ninth Gate. Brosnan is pitch perfect as the Blairesque character and McGregor puts in one of his better efforts as the Ghost Writer of the title, but it is Olivia Williams that steals the show as the cold and manipulative wife to the fallen Prime Minister.
Directed with clinical style by Polanski, this is a well thought out thriller and deserving of reappraisal.
