Possibly the best movie role that Val Kilmer has taken, (apart from his part in "Heat"), this movie's style has become part of the classic cinematic genre. Douglas also gives us an impressive performance as the cocky and slightly world-weary hunter who tires of those who underestimate nature's ferocity.
Based on a true story about a pair of man-eating lions, we get an up-close and personal taste of the terrifying mystique of these African lions gone bloodthirsty.
