Review of The Ghost and the Darkness (1996) by Clayton W — 20 Jun 2009
These lions don't just kill to eat. They kill for sport and it doesn't look like anyone can stop them. It's terrifying, thrilling, and exhausting to watch as Val Kilmer attempts to build a large bridge and protect a poor village from being completely massacred.
It's even more disturbing to know that this story is based on actual events and the real lions who killed humans for sport are at the Chicago Field Museum. The film confirms my belief that humans should not hunt for sport either.
I mean, if people can do it, why can't animals... right?
