Review of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (1947) by Kylie I — 15 Nov 2007
For anyone who loves classics, this is a must. Not too long and photographed beautifully. The ghost of an old sea captain haunts the house rented by a young widow and her children. Over time she falls in love with the ghost, and he with her.
Gene Tierney was perfectly cast for this, and her costumes (designed by her husband) are a dream on her. Always gets the tears flowing in the end when she returns young.
