Review of The Getaway (1972) by David C — 12 Aug 2007
Great action flick, as McQueen and MCGraw try to evade the police, Texas mob hitmen and his bankrobbing colleague, after a botched bank robbery. Pretty much everything that could go wrong does. McQueen is at his coolest and McGraw stunned acting style works do more to their on screen sexual chemistry which dripped into real life.
Lots of shotgun blasts and a great supporting cast, like Al Lettieri as Rudy the double crossing bank robber and Slim Pickens who almost steals the movie. If you've ever wanted to see Sally Struthers punched in the face.
...and you will, see this movie.
