Review of The Getaway (1972) by Weston R — 24 Apr 2008
Jim Thompson's novel is only vaguely similar to this movie and I think the film improves on it. Ali McGraw is eye candy and couldn't give her role any heft. Sally Struthers was much more interesting in her character.
McQueen gives just the right touch to Doc and all the bad guys deserve to die.
