Review of The Getaway (1972) by Atrox M — 28 Aug 2009
Another great film delivered to us by Sam Peckinpah who is by now one of my favorite directors.Steve McQueen is perfect in the lead role.The King of Cool plays Doc McCoy wit a dose of realism and it's quite easy to sympathise with his character despite him being a criminal,he's the perfect anti-hero.
The female lead is played by Ali MacGraw,i didn't like her performance,she didn't show much acting ability in this one.The rest of the cast was quite good.A classic action flick that would put to shame most of the Hollywood crap we get to see these days.
