Review of The Getaway (1972) by Curtis R — 21 Sep 2010
Sam Peckinpah's violent crime thriller pairing real life couple McQueen & MacGraw as husband and wife heist team Doc & Carol McCoy who steal a considerable sum of money and manage to piss off both sides of the law leading them on a high speed chase to the sanctuary of Mexico.
Steve McQueen is as cool as always and I don't think Ali MacGraw has ever been more beautiful as she is in this film. Al Lettieri practically steals the film as psychopath Rudy who is hot on their trail.
