Review of The Gentlemen (2020) by Tony1984 — 02 Mar 2020
Best Guy Ritchie movie since Snatch. Compared to Arthur, it's a masterpiece. It's fast-paced and jam-packed full of details from wardrobe to super convoluted plot to side arcs that'll you need to see it twice, maybe three times to fully appreciate it.
It has the trademark cockney/victorian grammar school language, some serious vulgarity and hilarious un-pc humour that will have the norms clutching at their pearls. Michele Dockery is the only female and to be honest superfluous.
The whole thing has a weird gay vibe running through it. Hugh Grant is probably the best actor in it being a proper c*** .
