Review of The General's Daughter (1999) by Andy A — 12 May 2008
An interesting genre-mixer w/ a social message. I wasnt expecting it to be very good but the style and feel was surprsingly enticing (i'm a sucker for detective mysteries, so that might explain a few things.
..:P) Aside from the genre-bending though the film takes a rather predictable plot route--but the truly redeeming aspect of this film is the socially progressive undertones inherent in the script, namely those about the position and outlook on women in a largely male-dominated organization.
