Were it not for Bai Ling being in FHM, then I probably would not have picked this up at all. Make no mistake, this is a low budget, low calibur G-grade weekly rental sporting dodgy effects and a badly tattered case, but, like a Mini-Cooper, it tries super duper hard to be as good as its peers. I AM TOO a sports car! I really am!!

Try as it might though, it just doesent get there. Bai Ling is eye-meltingly sexy in every outfit she wears, and is more acrobatic than a crack-head russian gymnast, but her diolauge feels forced, flat, and unengaging.

The same goes for the rest of the cast, they do remarkebly well to pull off a realistic feel with the "gone to shit" city environment and raggedy costumes despite the obviously low budget, but when they open their mouths it all goes away. This also hurts the admittedly interesting (if uninspired) plot.

The plot would have suffered much less without the "troubled siblings" part of the story, and also if the main bad dudes had seemed like they actually wanted to kill Bai and her bro. It's almost as if the creators threw in an angry gangster for that reason alone.

It's very cyberpunk, and strangely compulsive, but you would do well to leave this until you rent out a truckload of dvd's for a drunken weekend.

Justins Best Bit: Bai Ling, when not standing around looking immaculate, kicks peoples faces in and kills them all kinds of dead.
