I've seen much worse things in productions of this level, so they're never surprising, especially since it has always been quite clear that they're not interested in exploiting something more interesting or relevant than what I think it's their own definition of entertainment.

There are thousands of films like this one, but it stands out a bit for how pretentious its plot turns out to be, and yet how it cannot build anything interesting with it, even with the decent cast it has.

It's 100% generic, and that's all there is.
