Review of The Garbage Pail Kids Movie (1987) by Courtney O — 11 Dec 2011
How do you make a movie about a set of trading cards full of gross children? I guess you make up a weird story about some of them escaping their pail and helping a young boy that is pining after an older girl with a bad guy boyfriend.
There are some funny parts here and the costumes are kind of neat in a late 80's low-budget way. I also liked the music here, especially when the kids all sing together. Lastly, you have to give it up for a movie that features the "State Home For The Ugly".
So classic. Remember kids, "Don't wear masks unless it's Halloween!".
