A story about a cop and a gangster working together to catch a serial killer.
That sounded pretty good, but does the story delivers?
In terms of entertainment I can say yes it does. The film itself isn't inventive enough, but it manages toA story about a cop and a gangster working together to catch a serial killer.
That sounded pretty good, but does the story delivers?
In terms of entertainment I can say yes it does. The film itself isn't inventive enough, but it manages to maintain the rhythm and tone during most of its execution time and that's a solid element considering the story, despite its good intentions, never manages to become something higher than the norm of Korean cinema that deals with criminals and police.
Frankly, I would say that a much darker tone would've made this film much more relevant because it had the elements to have become a brutal noir film but as I said, the clichés of this genre in Korean cinema take their toll and take away some strength from it. .
I can't tell you that after finishing it - if you see it, of course - you won't get an unforgettable impression, but if you're looking for an entertaining story to pass the time, consider it a good option.
