Review of The Game Plan (2007) by Dann M — 11 Jun 2015
Disney teams up with The Rock for the lighthearted family comedy The Game Plan. When NFL quarterback Joe Kingman is sought out by his 8-year-old daughter (who he didn't know about) he takes her in and finds out that being a parent is harder than it seems.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Madison Pettis have real good chemistry together, and both have a natural charisma that lights up the screen. Also, the comedy is well-done (for the most part) and delivers a lot of laughs.
However, Disney sanitizes the film a little too much and tries to make it more of a fairy tale. Still, The Game Plan is entertaining and fun, and can be enjoyed by all ages.
