Review of The Game (1997) by Mark C — 11 Jan 2014
David Fincher with "The Game" does not justify his talent as a film maker. Although the film is well directed the script lacked a lot of substance . it had one twist too many and ultimately it turns out to be predictable which is kind of disappointing after what he did with "Seven".
A neo-noir look with a could of suspense hangs throughout the movie but never really engages us to the extent we like to. The score is subtle and apt. Performances were good specially from Sean Penn .
However when the end credits roll up one does not get fully satisfied and ultimately disappointed with the film.
