"Give it a shot, what's the worst that could happen?".

The Game is a starkly stylish and deeply psychological mind game that plays games with your head unlike any other film that I've ever seen. It's an edgy, dark and radiant reality bending work of cinematic excellence from Director David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en, The Social Network). The Game is an atmospheric and supremely pulse-pounding psychological thriller, the suspense in this film is ridiculously intense and there has never been a better brain battering mind game of a story to date. Fincher and company have constructed a seriously wacked out film here, it's guaranteed to leave you guessing until the absolute last second and the ending is one of the biggest shocks that I have ever encountered while watching a film. This is one of David Fincher's very best and most intensively original films, it keeps you glued to your seat for the duration and pays off big in the end. throughout the film, I noticed a creeping feeling of uneasiness and as the film progressed it got more and more intense, the Game isnt just a movie, its an experience. A jigsaw puzzle of a film, Fincher and company wrap the viewer into a whirlwind of uneasiness, suspense and edginess.

Michael Douglas is fantastic throughout as a lonely rich and powerful mogul, I find Douglas to be a perfect fit for roles like this, and he proves it once again in this film. Sean Penn never diappoints, he gives an odd, but excellent performance. James Rebhorn does great as well as Deborah Kara Unger.
