Review of The Game (1997) by Akash S — 26 Jul 2012
A lively and exciting puzzle-gimmick thriller! Riveting, from start to end - David Fincher does it again after his slick & grim thriller, Se7en.
Though a few plot-holes are there, movie is a well-paced and exhilarating ride. Just when you think that you've figured it all out, the movie turns upon you.
Michael Douglas is the soul of the movie; he gets into the character and carries the movie on his shoulders.
Sean Penn and Deborah Kara Unger, though having small roles, are terrific and make their presence felt.
The movie ends with a spectacular and satisfying conclusion!
