Even a worthy performance from Mark Wahlberg doesn't help us care about Jim Bennett and his poor decisions. Sure, gambling is an addiction. We as humans often sympathize with addiction - but that is lost somewhere along the way here.
Still, there is no doubt that Jessica Lange and Brie Larson are at the top of their game.
