While not a bad as I thought it would be, The Gallows suffers from an onslaught of plot holes, shallow characters, and found-footage clichés. Sure, there's a few scares along the way, but they're short-lived and fail to build any lingering sense of fear or dread.
Rest-assured when things get scary, there's sure to be some idiotic gimmick they use that ruins the tension. Someone pull the fire alarm and break a window already!
