Review of The Gallows (2015) by Christopher G — 08 Jul 2015
The Gallows.....LAME!!!!ð' (C)....Yet another "found-footage" horror flick, plot a tragedy happens during a high school play production of âThe Gallowsâ? some 20 years later student re-create the same play and awake something in the auditorium.
The Gallows has all the usual bangs and clangs from somewhere in the dark. the camera batteryâ(TM)s dying at the least convenient moment; the âBlair Witchâ?-style weepy close-up (running nose). A few moments early on are mildly entertaining.
In all itâ(TM)s all just blurry camera work and noise with neither scares nor drama. We all know what's going to happen each character is going to be killed one by one yet the movie takes forever to build up to these moments.
What you see in the previews is what you get. this is yet another example of good marketing and overhype of a lame movie from teenyboppers that don't know any better saying "it's the scariest movie they've ever seen" .
I am over this genre and I feel it is time to put it out to pasture.
