Okay, I'm a horror buff and often find myself disappointed in movies of this genre (9 out of 10 are a bust). Though "The Gallows" wasn't as scary as I anticipated, it did deliver; without resorting to excessive: gore, language, or unnecessary sex scenes.
I don't know why the camcorder is still used as the narrator (I find it annoying in all cases), but of all the movies that have attempted this, "The Gallows" comes closest to pulling it off.
Yes, shall I dare say it, far better than the dreadful, not scary, far overrated, "Blair Witch Project.".
