Review of The Gallows (2015) by Travis N — 30 Aug 2015
This film is a perfect example of something that's distributed purely for its marketability. WB didn't care if the movie was good, they just knew they could fill seats with clever marketing. I give it one star for trying to be original.
The acting is cringe worthy. This is a found footage nightmare but not in a good way. Seems like all you need is a marketable concept, that'll create good hype, but deliver no substance, to get the attention of Blumhouse and WB.
Although this movie is panned by critics and viewers alike, the studios made 1000x their $10,000 budget.
