I was really excited when the movie came out and I was disappointed. The plot of it is really stupid. Kid rehearses for play, one of them finds a door that is broken and NEVER closes or has locks on it.
And they tell the one kid's dad that they are going to their friends house and they have the camera for the play. They go to the school, break some stuff, The person playing the girl in the play comes.
They lie about why they are there, the door that NEVER closes or locks is locked for some reason and every other door. They freak out. They find a secret tunnel just to a room with a tv in it. Its a clip of the news talking about charlie's death.
Stupid plot twist, the kid who is doing the play's dad was supposed to be the person getting hanged but called in sick so charlie was replaced to the person getting hanged. Also in the clip with charlie getting hanged, everybody sits there when we was being hanged.
Also they did react fast enough to where charlie would've survived. Also I forgot to mention about the play, is that they do the play years later, with the same gallow! The same one charlie got hung.
One of them get pissed, they say Charlie 3 times he go up on a ladder to a vent so they can escape but he gets pushed off. They freak out. 2 of them go to another room while the one who fell and the 2nd girl.
She runs out the room to get help from the 2 others but the door shuts and he gets hung. Phone is in a locker, they break it open, the one kid's dad says "he's after meeee" The 2nd girl gets hung and the 2 people that are still alive are running away from Charlie.
They see a door open to outside and when he gets out he realizes the girl fell or something like that so he has to decide wether to leave or save her. He saves her. Light turns on, they do play, Charlie gets hung.
All of a sudden there is cops at the house where the girl lives and Charlie's Girlfriend is in the house with the one girl and Charlie. That means that Charlie and his girlfriend had a baby when he was dead.
They could of made the story a lot better and found footage films aren't good but they are worst when its COMPLETELY found footage where it is just the actor holding onto the camera the whole time.
No tripod or any of that stuff.
