Review of The Future (2013) by Cassidy R — 05 Dec 2011
With the sophomore effort from conceptual performance artist Miranda July, she explores the value of the time we waste, the human connections we avoid, and the fear and paralysis to create. Eccentric and at times very surreal, this movie juggles its themes both with a dry whit and raw emotion.
Though at times the dialogue seems to be transcribed from "planet indie" and there are a few idea's too many, the strongest moments of July's film make "The Future" an unmissable experience.
