Ground zero in the case for Hooper as an unsung auteur, it's a perfect gene-splice of the rural insanity of 'Texas Chain Saw Massacre' and the strobed studio polish of 'Poltergeist.' Sylvia Miles again an asset to the legacy of tits and tar-stained larynges.
