Review of The Full Monty (1997) by Carlos R — 23 Dec 2010
Right after I finished watching The Full Monty, I asked myself a question when I was thinking how much I liked it: "What did I NOT like about this movie?", and the answer that came inmediatly to my mind was "Nothing".
I don't usually like excessively comedies like this, but this is the one and biggest exception, it's a masterpiece of the genre, and definitely the best comedy of the 90's. Fantastic and adorable characters, a cool soundtrack, funny lines, funny not-with-lines moments (and there wasn't even physical comedy either, simply irony in epic proportions), a perfect, hilarious and superb ending, correct and wonderful direction, but above all: a Script that supports everything before mentioned, because the plot itself may seem unoriginal and perhaps seen before in different ways, but the nature and quality of the screenplay made the story seem believable, charming, cute, funny, real and surprisingly very, very human.
My vote is 5/5.
