Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Kevin P — 31 Jan 2012
A great cast of stars and lesser-known quality actors make this film a pleasure to watch. Despite it's age, the cinematography and effects stand up well, though this could partly be due to their absense.
There are 'real' stunts with 'real' people here, and a distinct lack of CGI, which lends a certain believability to the narrative (excepting the huge, Hollywoodised bus-crash-followed-by-train-wreck sequence at the beginning.
.. which on reflection probably took most of the budget...). A genuinely interesting plotline which breeds atmosphere and tension round off this worthy, highly watchable, addition to the action thriller genre.
.. pity about the 80s graphic design on the cover though...
