Review of The Fugitive (1993) by Peter N — 30 Jul 2012
The cat-and-mouse chase genre has never been better. The Fugitive is fast-paced, intense, and thrilling throughout. The suspense never lets up, and it is fueled by Harrison Ford in one of his greatest roles.
Tommy Lee Jones is absolutely stellar and won a much deserved academy award for his role as Samuel Gerard, the U.S. Marshal who is hellbent on catching the innocent Dr. Kimble (Ford). Despite its simple premise, the film surprises throughout with twists, turns, and intriguing plot developments that keep it fresh and exciting.
This is easily one of my favorite films.
