Review of The Frozen Ground (2013) by Jack B — 10 Jan 2014
Call it by-the-numbers plot wise but Cage has not been this good in a while and Cusack gives a creeping performance as Hansen. There are cliche's here but the film reminded me of Prisoners/Insomnia, in that it gathers a great cast but never feels the need to gloss up a ruthless story set amidst the cold and desolate winter of Alaska.
