Review of The Front Runner (2018) by Karen T — 07 Nov 2018

I saw The Front Runner at the London Film Festival premier and I absolutely loved it. I didn't know about Gary Hart before seeing the film, but I didn't find that it mattered. I loved the way this was directed and acted.

Hugh Jackman gives an outstanding, Oscar worthy, performance as the enigmatic Hart and Vera Farmiga plays Lee Hart in a perfect, understated, manner. J.K Simmons was as brilliant as ever and the rest of the cast were exceptional.

This film doesn't give you answers, it gives you food for thought! You can make up your own minds as to what you think really happened and whether the press were right or wrong in the way that they reported the story.

I highly recommend it even if you're not a fan of politics, which incidentally, I'm not!
