Review of The Frighteners (1996) by Ryan G — 12 Mar 2008

Movies that deal with the supernatural without trying to be "horror" movies are few and far between, but this is a classic example of how well this niche genre can work. It's a dramatic and suspenseful thriller, that, at the same time, manages to not take itself too seriously by throwing in some fun and well-suited humor.

It's definitely not scary, but I would describe it as a "spooky-good time". Also makes for a good light-hearted Halloween movie.
