Review of The Frighteners (1996) by Brian M — 20 Dec 2008
If there was one thing Peter Jackson must've showed the suits who tabbed him as their man to handle the colossal 'Lord of the Rings' project, it was that he knew how to navigate a highly complex special effect.
Some masterful Jackson camerwork shines through here in this increasingly frantic story, but the show belongs to the wonderfully demented Jeffrey Combs who utilizes his bizarre acting turns to full hilarious effect as a crazed, phobic FBI agent.
