Review of The Frighteners (1996) by Tierney W — 27 Oct 2012
Though somewhat more of a mess, narratively speaking, this film runs much in the same vein as Burton's Beetlejuice (both scored by Danny Elfman). This was a really great genre mish-mash and despite plot issues I loved it.
I'm guessing Michael J. Fox probably enjoyed making this movie given that the script is full of bad language while still retaining a Back to the Future sort of vibe. I'm sensing a new Halloween classic in my house.
