Review of The French Connection (1971) by Eric V — 25 Nov 2008
Thoroughly enjoyed this one, really fun. France, New York City, low level mobsters and morally questionable cops. Everything was shot on location which definitely gives it a heightened sense of reality.
The movie holds up great to the unorthodox editing style and great cast of characters. I've been playing alot of GTA IV and the game uses a scene almost frame for frame as a mission in the game involving a Brooklyn section of subway, something I haven't heard mention of, but is just awesome.
