Gene Hackman won a Best Actor Oscar in this superior crime thriller that also took home awards for Best Director, Screenplay and Picture.
Two New York City police officers investigate a French Heroin ring as they move through the mean New York City streets. The movie features one of the best chase scenes ever filmed.
Compared to most action thriller of today, the script is much better thought out and memorable.
