Review of The French Connection (1971) by Ryan D — 09 Jan 2010
The French Connection is a film dealing with drug smuggling. There's some drugs that go from France to the United States. There are some New York cops that try to stop the drug trafficking. Overall, the plot was fairly entertaining.
Overall, this was a better-than-average film. It was nothing overly-spectacular but it was still fairly good. The film features a car chase where a car chases an above-ground subway. This sequence is one of the best-regarded car chases of all-time. This film also won several Oscars including best picture and best actor for Gene Hackman.
78/100.
