Review of The French Connection (1971) by Gustavo C — 08 May 2010
This crime/action drama from early 70's stills great. With a documentary-esque filmmaking, The French Connection exposes a true heroin smuggling scheme between French and USA. With great realism, an amazing soundtrack performed by Don Ellis and one of the best porsuite scenes ever made, Friedkin, a very promising director back then, delivered us his first masterpiece.
