Review of The French Connection (1971) by Matthew C — 19 Jul 2010
Hackman and Schieder play world weary partners in this gritty, grim cop movie. They manage to stumble over a crazy, convoluted case that puts them through the ringer. Lots of great actors and some excellent, dramatic direction from William Friedkin boost it above many contemporary films of a similar nature.
Well worth checking out.
