Review of The French Connection (1971) by Naoya K — 31 Jul 2011
Where all the modern action films start. This film is really something you not just watch but FEEL (that you are there). Yes, what is the greatest about this film is not only those action scenes like the famous car-chasing-train scene but also pile of small detail shots like the one in which Hackman is standing outside keeping an eye on the suspect and freezing.
And of course, kinda bitter but so so so powerful and symbolic (surrealistic, even) ending!
