Review of The French Connection (1971) by Rebecca F — 08 Jul 2009
I was SHOCKED by this movie! It's a true example of perfect film-making, and from the very beginning I was gripped... I mean, masterful shots of Marseilles in first minutes of the film, than Popeye's brutality on the streets of NY, than cat-mouse game at Grand Central Terminal and on Manhattan, the famous car chase.
.. It's fucking great! After all, this was directed by Friedkin, man who gave us The Exorcist...
